Salesforce will give millions of higher and further education students in the UK free access to Slack Enterprise. The pledge is part of its $6 billion UK investment through 2030, announced on 15 October.
Participating colleges and universities can use Slack to connect tutors and peers, streamline campus services and run communities for distance learners. Slackbot, included with Slack Enterprise, gives plain-language answers from workspace files and discussions. Institutions can add AI agents to channels and set their own permissions.
Salesforce says student data stays protected under UK rules and is never used to train external AI models. The release does not state eligibility rules, sign-up steps or a start date.
