Dynamics 365 has put Rental Management in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management into public preview. The release also adds new rental capabilities to Dynamics 365 Field Service and Dynamics 365 Commerce, according to Microsoft's blog.

Rental Management moves core rental processes into Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management. It connects them to Field Service, Project Operations and Commerce, so rentals use the same asset, customer and financial data as the rest of the business.

Rental coordinators can check fleet item availability across prime equipment, attachments and bulk items. They can reserve units and build quotations from rental rates in a guided rental cart. The process covers inquiry, reservation, fulfillment, return and billing.
