Dynamics 365 CX MCP Server – Sales is now generally available. It gives supported AI agents and seller apps access to Dynamics 365 Sales data, business logic and actions. The server offers 59 governed tools covering opportunities, leads, accounts, activities, pricing, quotes and orders.
Existing Dataverse roles and permissions still control what each user can access. Clients connect over HTTP-based MCP to one Microsoft-hosted endpoint per environment. The Agent 365 Tooling Gateway brokers that connection.
Microsoft Entra ID authenticates users through an OAuth 2.0 on-behalf-of exchange to Dataverse. Clients read the tool catalog when they connect.
Examples include qualifying an inbound lead and routing it to a seller, or turning an approved quote into an order.
