HighLevel lets AI Studio users connect a GitHub account to any project and keep code in sync both ways. AI Studio creates a private repository for each project and pushes every saved version to it. New commits on the connected branch are pulled back automatically.

Teams can work in Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot or Gemini CLI, and changes return to the project with a fresh preview. When GitHub and AI Studio both have new commits, users choose Force push, which makes AI Studio win, or New branch, which keeps both. Pushes are scanned for AWS, GitHub, Stripe and OpenAI keys and private keys, and blocked if any are found.

A new permission, Manage Git & download code, is on by default for every role. Agency admins can turn it off per user under Settings → Team → Permissions → AI Studio. Sync works only with React (Vite) and TanStack Start projects. Commits appear as "GHL AI Studio", not the user's GitHub identity.
