ServiceNow lets any employee build AI agents without code, within guardrails their admins define. The EmployeeWorks update also adds ToolSmith, a new agentic developer environment for building the tools those agents run on. According to ServiceNow, developers describe what they need and ToolSmith builds it securely in minutes instead of weeks.
The announcement names three new pieces: Productivity Assistants for persona-based work, Productivity Routines that run in the background, and ToolSmith. One example in the post is a sales leader who builds an agent that researches every account on tomorrow's calendar and prepares a tailored pitch before they log on. The post gives no pricing, plan tiers, release dates or regions.
