ServiceNow announced AI Passport, a cryptographically signed credential that sets an AI agent's identity, permitted actions, accessible systems and accountable owner. It is issued through the AI Control Tower governance platform and checks permissions as work runs, according to SiliconANGLE.
In a demo, a third-party customer service agent was set to process refunds below $25. An $18 refund went through automatically, while a $40 request was rejected at runtime for human review.
Admins can pause an agent by revoking session tokens, restrict its tools and endpoints, or deactivate it by revoking credentials. Nvidia is a design and launch partner. AI Control Tower also adds shadow AI detection, more than 400 vendor connectors and AI Cost Management for spending tracking.
