What is Twenty?

Twenty is an open-source CRM built on Postgres. You create custom objects, fields and views from Settings, and build no-code workflows with steps such as filter, search records, update record, send email and AI agent. It connects Google or Microsoft accounts and links emails and calendar events to records. Developers extend it through REST and GraphQL APIs, webhooks, a TypeScript apps framework and an MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor. The GitHub repository had about 58,000 stars on 6 October 2026.

Who is it for?

Teams with a developer or technical admin who want to model their own data, write extensions and keep the option to self-host. Twenty also targets companies moving off Salesforce or HubSpot and publishes price comparisons against them. Teams that want a large marketplace of plug-and-play integrations, a built-in dialer or marketing automation should look at HubSpot or Pipedrive.

Pricing

  • Self-hosting: free, open-source core on your own infrastructure.
  • Pro: $9/user/mo (yearly), unlimited custom objects, fields and views, AI agents, custom apps, 50 workflow credits/year, REST/GraphQL API, webhooks, MCP server, 50 API calls/minute.
  • Organization: $19/user/mo (yearly), adds row-level permissions, SAML/OIDC SSO, custom domain, audit logs, priority support, 100 API calls/minute.
  • Enterprise: from $50,000/year, adds single-tenant isolation, IP allow-listing, SCIM and a support SLA.

Yearly billing is 25% cheaper than monthly. Cloud plans come with a 30-day trial without a card. Prices checked on 6 October 2026.

Strengths

  • Self-hosting option: the open-source core runs on your own servers at no licence cost.
  • Custom data model: unlimited custom objects, fields and views on every cloud plan, with no per-object charge.
  • Developer access: REST and GraphQL APIs, webhooks and a TypeScript apps framework on the $9 Pro plan.
  • AI assistants: the built-in MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor read and update CRM data.
  • Low seat price: Pro at $9 per user per month is below most hosted CRMs with custom objects.

What to consider

  • SSO, row-level permissions and a custom domain require Organization at $19/user/mo.
  • Pro includes 50 workflow credits a year, so teams with heavy automation should check credit usage before committing.
  • Pro caps the API at 50 calls per minute; Organization raises it to 100.
  • The site names few ready-made integrations beyond Google, Microsoft and AI assistants, so other tools need the API, webhooks or a partner.
  • Self-hosting puts upgrades, backups and security on your own team.

Bottom line

Shortlist Twenty if you have technical staff and want an open-source CRM you can self-host or run cheaply in the cloud. Before buying, list the tools you need to connect and check whether each needs custom API work.
