Teamwork Desk Pricing Explained (2026)
Teamwork Desk starts at $9.50/agent/month, but Starter caps at 10 agents and live chat only arrives at Pro — nearly double the price.
| Plan | Price | Billing | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $9.50/agent/mo | billed annually (29% below monthly); maximum 10 agents | Email ticketing, ticket management, free help docs site, customer portal and Teamwork.com integration |
| Pro | $17/agent/mo | billed annually (29% below monthly); unlimited agents | Everything in Starter plus live chat, triggers, time tracking and unlimited agents |
| Premium | $33/agent/mo | billed annually (29% below monthly); unlimited agents | Everything in Pro plus SLAs, customer satisfaction ratings, custom fields, full reporting, business hours and scheduled tickets |
| Enterprise | Custom quote | sales-negotiated | Everything in Premium plus HIPAA verification |
| Free trial | $0 | 30 days, no credit card required | Full evaluation across tiers before committing |
Cheap entry, conventional ladder, one hard cap
Teamwork Desk's headline rate of $9.50 per agent per month on annual billing is among the lowest in the hosted help desk market — well under Freshdesk and Zendesk at comparable positions. For a small support team it is a genuinely inexpensive way to stop running support out of a shared mailbox.
The tier structure that follows is conventional, with one structural constraint that separates it from ordinary feature-gating: Starter is capped at 10 agents.
The agent cliff
| Plan | Annual rate | Agents | 10 agents/mo | 11 agents/mo |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $9.50 | Max 10 | $95 | not available |
| Pro | $17 | Unlimited | $170 | $187 |
| Premium | $33 | Unlimited | $330 | $363 |
Hiring an eleventh support agent takes a team from $95/month to $187/month — a 97% increase in the bill for a 10% increase in headcount, because the eleventh seat forces the entire desk onto Pro.
This is the same shape of cliff that catches Attio customers at ten users, and it deserves the same response: if you are at eight or nine agents and growing, price Pro now. Budgeting against Starter when you are near its ceiling means planning around a number you are about to lose.
Where the features actually sit
Two gates matter more than the rest.
Live chat starts at Pro. Starter covers email ticketing, ticket management, a free help docs site and a customer portal. It does not cover chat. For a modern support desk — particularly consumer-facing or SaaS — chat is not an advanced feature, and its placement at $17 means the practical entry price for a full channel mix is nearly double the headline.
SLAs start at Premium. So do customer satisfaction ratings, custom fields, full reporting, business hours and scheduled tickets. That cluster is the difference between running a support function and merely answering mail: if you have committed to response times, or need to report on how support is performing, you are at $33 per agent — 3.5x the advertised rate.
The free help docs site included at Starter is a real bright spot worth naming. Self-service deflection is often gated to mid-tiers elsewhere, and having it at the entry level is genuinely generous.
Annual billing is worth more than usual
Teamwork advertises annual billing as saving 29% against monthly — meaningfully better than the 20% category norm, and correspondingly, monthly billing costs about 41% more than the annual rate.
On a ten-agent Pro deployment that is roughly $840 a year for flexibility. Support headcount is typically more predictable than sales headcount, which makes this an easy decision for most desks: take the annual term.
The 30-day trial with no credit card required also gives real room to evaluate — twice the common 14 days, and enough to run actual ticket volume through the product before committing.
The Teamwork.com question
Teamwork Desk's distinguishing feature is not price and not any individual capability. It is the connection to Teamwork.com projects, which lets a support ticket become tracked project work without re-keying it into a separate system. Time tracking at Pro reinforces this: the product assumes billable work sometimes originates in support.
For agencies and professional services firms already running Teamwork for client projects, that integration is the whole argument and it is a strong one — the alternative is a help desk and a project tool that do not know about each other.
For a buyer with no Teamwork footprint, the integration is worth nothing, and Teamwork Desk becomes a mid-sized help desk competing on ordinary merit against Freshdesk, Help Scout and Zendesk. It holds up reasonably at Pro, but the price advantage narrows once you account for what those competitors include at similar tiers.
Who should and should not buy this
Teamwork Desk fits agencies and services firms already on Teamwork.com, where ticket-to-project continuity removes real friction. It also fits small support teams under ten agents handling email-first volume, for whom Starter at $9.50 with a free docs site is excellent value.
It fits badly for teams that need SLAs or reporting on a budget, since both sit at $33; for teams approaching ten agents, who should model the cliff before it arrives; and for healthcare buyers, since HIPAA verification is Enterprise-only and puts them into custom pricing immediately.

What the pricing page doesn't show
- Starter caps at 10 agents. It is not a cheap plan you grow within — the eleventh agent forces Pro, a 79% per-seat increase driven purely by headcount rather than any feature you asked for.
- Live chat is a Pro feature. Teams that assumed a $9.50 help desk covers chat support are looking at $17 before they have added a single premium capability.
- SLAs, custom fields and full reporting are all Premium at $33 — 3.5x the entry rate. A desk with service commitments and any reporting obligation cannot run below the top published tier.
- Monthly billing costs about 41% more than annual (annual is advertised as saving 29%). Flexibility is expensive at every tier.
- HIPAA verification is Enterprise-only. Healthcare buyers are in a custom negotiation from the outset regardless of team size.
