Freshsales Pricing Explained (2026)

Freshsales starts at $9/user/mo on Growth billed annually, but Freddy AI at $49 per 100 sessions and the $39 Pro jump are what set the real budget.

Cheap seats, priced-out features

At $9 per user per month on annual billing, Growth is one of the lowest genuine entry prices for a full CRM. Not a free tier with a contact cap — an actual working CRM with pipeline, email, chat and reporting for less than a tenth of what HubSpot's paid tiers cost per seat.

The catch is where Freshworks drew the feature line. Sales sequences — automated multi-step outreach — sit on Pro at $39/user/mo. So does territory management, so do multiple pipelines, and so does anything resembling serious reporting. Growth is an inbound CRM: leads arrive, you track them, you close them. Any team doing outbound is buying Pro whether the demo suggested otherwise or not.

That makes the honest entry price for a sales team $39/user/mo, and the $9 figure a fair advertisement for a narrower product than most buyers imagine.

The AI line is metered, not bundled

Freddy AI is Freshworks' marquee pitch and it is not included in your seat cost. The Freddy AI Agent bills at $49 per 100 sessions.

Sessions track visitor and inbound conversations, which means the cost curve follows your website traffic rather than your headcount. A five-person team with a busy marketing site can easily burn more on Freddy than on seats:

Team Plan seats (annual) Freddy usage Freddy cost Total/mo
5 on Growth $45 400 sessions $196 $241
20 on Pro $780 1,000 sessions $490 $1,270
50 on Enterprise $2,950 2,000 sessions $980 $3,930

In the first row the AI is four times the subscription. That is not a criticism of the rate — $0.49 a session is competitive — but it does mean "Freshsales costs $9 a seat" describes maybe half of a real invoice at small scale. Cap it or monitor it monthly.

Growth to Pro, and Pro to Enterprise

The Growth-to-Pro jump is $30/user/mo, a 4.3x increase, and it is the one that matters. Justify it on sequences and multiple pipelines alone; the reporting improvements are a bonus rather than a reason. For a 12-person team that is $360 a month more, which one additional closed deal a quarter covers comfortably in most B2B contexts.

Pro to Enterprise is $20/user/mo for custom modules, a sandbox, audit logs and field-level permissions. This is a governance upgrade, not a productivity one. If nobody in your organisation has asked about audit trails or restricting field visibility, you do not need it yet. Regulated industries and teams above roughly 50 seats are the genuine buyers; everyone else should stay on Pro and spend the difference on the branded documents add-on if quotes matter.

Annual commitment and the monthly premium

Freshworks advertises a 20% saving for annual prepayment, which puts the monthly-billed Growth rate near $11 and Pro near $47. That premium is standard for the category, but the 21-day trial changes how you should use it. Most CRM trials give you 14 days, which is barely enough to import data. Three weeks is enough to migrate a real subset, run live deals and find out whether your team actually logs activity in it.

Use the full trial and buy annual afterwards. Paying the monthly premium as a hedge against a bad fit is wasted money when the trial is this long.

Suits and misfits

Freshsales fits small and mid-sized sales teams that want a modern interface without HubSpot's pricing or Salesforce's implementation project. A 15-person team on Pro pays $585/mo annually — roughly what the same team would spend on a single HubSpot Sales Hub tier with fewer seats.

It suits Freshworks customers even better. If you already run Freshdesk, the shared platform and single vendor relationship are worth real money in avoided integration work.

It punishes two profiles. Very small teams that get seduced by the $9 headline and then discover sequences cost 4x more end up feeling misled — go in knowing Pro is the real price. And organisations with heavy customisation requirements will find the Enterprise tier's ceiling lower than Salesforce or Dynamics, so paying $59 a seat for extensibility you then outgrow is the worst outcome available here.

Check the current rate card

Figures above come from freshworks.com/crm/pricing in July 2026. Freshworks reorganises its CRM packaging more often than most vendors — plans have been renamed and re-bundled repeatedly — and the Freddy AI rate in particular is likely to move. Confirm against the vendor's own page, and ask directly about the free tier's status rather than trusting any directory on that point, including this one.

What the pricing page doesn't show

  • Freddy AI Agent is sold in blocks of 100 sessions for $49. A moderately used website bot burning 1,000 sessions a month costs $490 — more than the Growth seats for a 20-person team.
  • Sales sequences are a Pro feature. Any outbound team that tries to run cadences on Growth at $9 will be upgrading to $39 within a quarter, which is the real entry price for outbound sales.
  • Branded documents — quotes and proposals with your own styling — are a $19/user/mo add-on, more than double the entire Growth seat price.
  • The headline $9 assumes annual prepayment. Monthly billing is roughly 20% higher across all three tiers, so the true monthly-billed floor is closer to $11/user.
  • Freshworks promotes a 21-day trial rather than a free tier on its pricing page. Any free-forever plan you find referenced elsewhere is not part of the current published lineup — verify before planning around it.

Frequently asked questions

Does Freshsales still have a free plan?
Freshworks no longer lists one on its CRM pricing page — the promoted entry point is a 21-day full-feature trial with no credit card. Third-party sites still describe a limited free tier for up to 3 users, but it is not published, so do not build a rollout plan around it.
How long is the Freshsales free trial?
21 days, with access to the fully loaded CRM and no credit card required. That is longer than most CRM trials and long enough to actually migrate a test dataset and run a real pipeline through it.
What is the difference between Growth and Pro?
Pro adds multiple pipelines, sales sequences, territory management and deeper reporting. If you run outbound cadences or split your team by region, Pro at $39 is the plan you actually need — Growth is a single-pipeline inbound CRM.
How much cheaper is annual billing?
About 20% versus monthly. On a 15-seat Pro deployment that is roughly $1,400 a year, which is the largest single lever on the bill short of dropping a tier.
What does Freddy AI cost on top of the plan?
The Freddy AI Agent is $49 per 100 sessions, billed separately from seats. A session is an AI conversation, so cost scales with website and inbound volume, not with headcount — budget it as a variable line, not a fixed one.
Is there a seat minimum?
No published minimum on any tier, so a three-person team can buy three Growth seats. That is unusual at this price point and makes Freshsales genuinely viable for very small sales teams.
