ServiceNow has added two productivity assistants to its EmployeeWorks solution. The research assistant investigates complex questions across internal and external sources in real time. The calendaring assistant connects to calendar systems, resolves conflicts, reserves rooms and adds conferencing links.

Employees can now build background productivity routines by describing the task in plain language, without needing to know backend systems or API integrations. ServiceNow also introduced ToolSmith, an agentic developer environment for building AI tools from natural-language descriptions. ServiceNow said ToolSmith is trained on more than 75,000 APIs.

ServiceNow is also adding pre-built assistants for HR service delivery, talent management, HR business partners and managers. Customers can build their own specialised assistants. The source gives no pricing, plan details, availability dates or regions.
