Gong
Revenue intelligence platform that records and analyses sales calls and emails, with modules for sales engagement, forecasting and enablement.
What is Gong?
Gong captures customer calls, video meetings and emails and analyses them. Managers search conversations, score calls against templates and see which deals are at risk. Add-on modules cover sales engagement (Gong Engage), forecasting (Gong Forecast) and enablement (Gong Enable, with an AI Trainer that builds courses from real calls). Gong Agents draft follow-ups, update pipeline fields and correct forecasts, and an MCP connection brings Gong data into ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot.
Who is it for?
CROs, RevOps, sales, customer success and enablement teams in technology, financial services, healthcare and manufacturing. Gong says 5,000+ companies use it, including ADP, HubSpot and LinkedIn. Small teams that need a cheap dialer or contact data should look at Apollo.io.
Pricing
Gong publishes no prices. Licences are priced per user, and a platform fee depends on the number of users. The quote form asks for team size first.
Gong lists integrations with the existing tech stack as free. AI features draw on credits, and admins can set monthly credit limits per user. Prices checked on 6 October 2026.
Strengths
- Call and email capture: records meetings on Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Zoom Phone and links them to CRM records.
- CRM sync: works with Salesforce, HubSpot and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Coaching: scorecard templates for discovery, demo and renewal calls; call libraries for training.
- AI access outside Gong: available in the ChatGPT Apps directory and through MCP for Claude and Copilot.
What to consider
- No public prices, and a platform fee comes on top of per-user licences.
- Engage, Forecast and Enable are separate products, so the full stack costs more than the core licence.
- AI features consume credits that admins have to budget.
- The value depends on recording calls; teams that sell mostly by email get less from it.
Bottom line
Shortlist Gong if your reps spend their week on recorded calls and managers want to coach from them. Before buying, ask for the platform fee at your team size and which modules the quote includes.
