A 10-person team pays $350 a month for Close on the Essentials plan, billed annually at $35 per user. Essentials has no automated workflows. A team that needs them moves to Growth, which costs $990 a month for the same ten people. Calling is billed on usage on top of either price.
Three things move the bill from there: the workflow line between Essentials and Growth, usage-billed calling and the monthly AI credit pool. Below are all three with numbers, and three teams of ten that pay $350, $990 and $1,390 a month.
Prices from close.com/pricing, checked on 17 October 2026. All prices are in US dollars per user per month. Annual billing applies unless stated otherwise.
The seat price
| Plan | Annual billing | Monthly billing | Users | AI credits per user a month | Automated workflows |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | $9 | $19 | 1 only | 500 | Not included |
| Essentials | $35 | $49 | Unlimited | 1,000 (shared pool up to 10,000 a month) | Not included |
| Growth | $99 | $109 | Unlimited | 1,500 (shared pool up to 15,000 a month) | Included |
| Scale | $139 | $149 | Unlimited | 2,000 (shared pool up to 20,000 a month) | Included |
Ten users cost:
- Essentials: 10 × $35 = $350 a month, or $4,200 a year. Monthly billing: 10 × $49 = $490.
- Growth: 10 × $99 = $990 a month, or $11,880 a year. Monthly billing: 10 × $109 = $1,090.
- Scale: 10 × $139 = $1,390 a month, or $16,680 a year. Monthly billing: 10 × $149 = $1,490.
Solo cannot serve ten people. The pricing page also offers custom pricing for "more complex sales needs", without a published figure.
Workflows: the line between Essentials and Growth
Essentials lists "Workflows not included". Growth lists "Automated workflows", "Use Chloe in Workflows", "Power dialer", "Custom activities" and "Send bulk email". Scale adds role-based access, lead visibility rules, a predictive dialer and live call coaching.
For ten users, Growth costs $990 − $350 = $640 a month more than Essentials, or $7,680 a year. A team that needs automation pays that difference. A team that only logs calls and email does not.
Calling: usage-billed, with no published rate
Calling is "charged based on usage". The pricing page does not publish a per-minute rate, so this guide does not put a price on calls.
The page does publish two starting points. Phone lines start at $1 a line a month, so ten lines cost at least $10 a month. Premium phone numbers add IVR and round-robin routing, but the page gives no price for them.
To estimate call spend, multiply minutes by the rate Close quotes you. Ten reps dialling three hours a day over 21 working days make 10 × 180 × 21 = 37,800 minutes a month.
AI credits: a shared monthly pool
Each plan includes AI credits per user, pooled across the team. On Essentials, ten users share a pool of 10,000 a month. On Growth the pool is 15,000 and on Scale it is 20,000.
Credits refresh monthly and do not roll over. The page says more credits can be bought, but it gives no price for them, and it doesn't list what each action costs in credits. Nothing on the page shows how many credits a team of ten uses.
Annual billing saves less at the top
Annual billing saves 53% on Solo ($9 against $19), 29% on Essentials ($35 against $49), 9% on Growth ($99 against $109) and 7% on Scale ($139 against $149).
For ten users, annual billing saves $140 a month on Essentials ($1,680 a year). On Growth and Scale it saves $100 a month ($1,200 a year).
Three teams of ten
1. Calls, email and pipelines, no automation: $350 a month. Ten reps log calls and email by hand and manage pipelines. They need no automated follow-up. The plan is Essentials, billed annually: 10 × $35 = $350. The 10,000-credit pool is shared across the team. Calling is billed on top.
2. Automated follow-up and a power dialer: $990 a month. The same team adds workflows that create tasks when a lead replies, plus the power dialer and bulk email. The plan is Growth, billed annually: 10 × $99 = $990. This is $640 a month more than scenario 1. Calling is billed on top.
3. Predictive dialing and lead access rules: $1,390 a month. A 10-person outbound team needs a predictive dialer, role-based access and lead visibility rules. Those features are on Scale: 10 × $139 = $1,390. That is $400 a month more than scenario 2. If the team wants to change seat count often, monthly billing costs $1,490.
What to check before you sign
- Workflows. Essentials has none. If the team needs automated follow-up, budget for Growth from the start.
- Per-minute calling rate. The pricing page doesn't publish one. Ask Close for it, then multiply by the minutes your reps will dial.
- Premium phone numbers. The page doesn't price them. Ask for the cost of any premium numbers before you budget.
- AI credit use and top-ups. The pool refreshes monthly without rollover, and the page gives no top-up price. Ask what extra credits cost.
- Trial length. The page says the trial needs no credit card and includes $5 of calling and enrichment credits, but it doesn't say how long the trial runs.
