HubSpot has quietly raised the price of its Starter plan by approximately 15%, effective for new signups starting this month.
The change
The Marketing Hub Starter plan moved from $18/mo to $20/mo (billed annually). Sales Hub Starter saw a similar bump. Existing customers on annual contracts keep their current rate until renewal.
What this means
For solo founders and small teams, HubSpot's Starter tier was one of the most competitive entry points into a full-featured CRM. The increase isn't dramatic in isolation, but it continues a trend — HubSpot has raised Starter pricing twice in the last 18 months.
Combined with per-contact marketing charges, the total cost of ownership for a growing team can escalate faster than the sticker price suggests.
Should you worry?
If you're already on HubSpot Starter and happy with it, the price bump at renewal is manageable. But if you're evaluating CRMs now, it's worth comparing the new pricing against alternatives like Attio (free tier), Capsule ($18/mo), or Freshsales (free tier) before committing.
The free HubSpot CRM remains unchanged and is still one of the best no-cost options available.
